The logs arrived today all the way from Wisconsin where they were carefully cut and hewed into shape... Stephen spent many months on the phone figuring out the logs, buying the logs, comparing the logs, shipping the logs, etc. so naturally he was very happy to see the logs sitting on the drive way.

I ordered 896 lineal feet of the rustic 8" D logs from Classic Log Homes in June 2007. These 8" rustic D logs were ordered for my small hunting cabin. After putting up just a few courses on the walls, I seen that these same logs could be used for a full sized house- these thick logs offer plenty of insulation. These logs are beautiful, they have the natural look on the outside with a few knots showing, just as a log home should in my opinion. I am building with them now and I am quite pleased with the materials and the customer service. This is my first log structure project and Jeff is still very helpful by answering any questions I may have. These D-logs are rough sawn on three sides and arrived true and square which lessens my work on the job site. Again, I am very pleased with Classic Log Homes and I plan to purchase from them again for another hunting lodge in the spring of next year.

I recently had some land clearing and brush consolidation/road building done by Jeff Glaza from Classic Log Homes. He found time right away to come and scope out the job and scheduled a date to come and work for me. He showed up promptly, worked overtime to finish the job, and when he came back the second day he graded my drive on the way in( 1/4 mile) just cause he thought it needed some smoothing!!! Jeff went above and beyond what I expected and I was there to help throw brush etc to see him work. He wastes no movement, doesn't hurt trees around the job, and goes out of his way to please the customer( Me!) I'm so happy now that I can get out and enjoy the 1/2 plus mile of roadway where there was previously just tops and slash from logging done before I bought my property! I now can get new trees planted and restore the forest. He also came back and helped me burn the piles and showed me how to safely reduce them to ashes. Thank-you Jeff! I know who to call if ever I need work done again!!
